Mold Remediation

Mold requires moisture, air and organic material to thrive.

In nature molds and other fungi serve an essential purpose in recycling organic material, particularly that which originates from plants and trees.  They also require moisture and air and prefer a constant environment (in terms of temperature, humidity and light intensity) to flourish.

Of course, a fungus cannot tell the difference between a house and the detritus of a forest, and we create perfect conditions for them when we build timber frame houses with paneling made from or including organic material and enclosed air spaces.

Mold spores are everywhere and normally do not pose a problem – until we add water and allow them to germinate.
